The iconic CAPRISTO valve exhaust system offers the best of both worlds with its ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for city driving. This system includes 250-cell sport catalytic converters and an X-pipe replacement to maximize performance and weight savings (approximately 8 kg lighter) as a complete solution.
This feature is achieved by using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and driver input. At low engine speeds and during cruising, the valves are closed, producing a deeper exhaust note. At full throttle, the valves open, releasing the full symphony of the engine.
The exhaust valves are controlled by back pressure via the OEM valve actuators
This system includes sport catalytic converters and an X-pipe replacement to maximize performance and weight savings (approximately 8kg lighter) as a complete solution. High performance catalytic converters feature a 250 cell per square inch substrate made from the highest quality materials available today, designed to improve airflow to your vehicle and increase performance.
The cell count of a catalytic substrate refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that substrate. The lower the hole count, the larger the hole must be to fill a square inch, a larger hole subsequently flows more exhaust gas.
All that high flow won't help if the substrate is "squeezed" into a can or pipe that is too small in diameter. For this reason, CAPRISTO Sports Cats are packaged in 5.2-inch packages to maximize exhaust flow and valved exhaust system operation.
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping and CNC bending/milling at our facility in Germany. Each system is machined from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand-polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its resonant sound properties, low weight and durability which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
IMPORTANT
The exhaust system is designed to fit directly into existing OEM F-Type (2WD) mounting points
Recommended for off-road and track use only
Replacing the OEM catalytic converter(s) may cause a CEL (Check Engine Light).
To disable a recurring CEL, you will need to tune the ECU or use the 02 sensor extensions.
