The iconic CAPRISTO valve exhaust system offers the best of both worlds with its ability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for around-town driving.

This feature is achieved by using electronically actuated butterfly valves that open and close depending on driving conditions and driver input. At low engine speeds and during cruising, the valves are closed producing a deeper exhaust note. At full throttle, the valves open releasing the full symphony of the engine.

The exhaust valves are controlled by back pressure via the factory BMW exhaust valve select button/mode.

CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping and CNC bending/milling at our facility in Germany. Each system is manufactured from high quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its resonant sound properties, low weight and durability which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
