This feature is achieved by using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and driver input. At low engine speeds and during cruising, the valves are closed producing a deeper exhaust note. At wide open throttle, the valves open releasing the full symphony of the engine.

The new Capristo exhaust valves on this SQ8 system are electronically controlled and integrate the OEM actuators to maintain factory valve operation via Sport Control.

This allows for precise control of the exhaust to the driver's personal taste and tolerance without the addition of electronics/modules/remote controls.

CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping and CNC bending/milling at our facility in Germany. Each system is manufactured from high quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its resonant sound properties, low weight and durability which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
