Made from T309 (1.4828) grade stainless steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. This version includes custom hand-stitched heat blankets to reduce under-hood temperatures while protecting surrounding bodywork, hoses and painted surfaces from residual heat damage.

These high-performance sport catalytic converters feature a 100 cell per square inch substrate made from the highest quality materials available today, designed to improve airflow to your vehicle and increase performance.

The cell count of a catalytic substrate refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that substrate. The fewer the holes, the larger the hole needs to be to fill a square inch, a larger hole subsequently flows more exhaust.

All that high flow won't help if the substrate is "squeezed" into a can or small diameter tube. For this reason, CAPRISTO Sport Cats come in 5.2" packages to maximize exhaust flow and valved exhaust system operation.

The CAPRISTO valved exhaust system helps low end torque by providing exhaust back pressure and increases temperature for proper catalytic converter operation. In the high RPM open valve condition, it takes full advantage of the free flow characteristics of the CAPRISTO Sport Cats by optimising the high energy exhaust at the ideal temperature and back pressure to maximise performance.

These catalytic converters can easily be fitted to a CAPRISTO exhaust system or any system that will fit directly over the OEM exhaust.

Replacing the OEM catalytic converter may activate a CEL (Check Engine Light).

To disable a recurring CEL you will need to either tune the ECU or use 02 sensor extensions.
