These high-performance sport catalytic converters feature a 200 cell per square inch substrate made from the highest quality materials available today, designed to improve airflow to your vehicle and increase performance.
The cell count of a catalytic substrate refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that substrate. The fewer the holes, the larger the hole needs to be to fill a square inch, a larger hole subsequently allows more exhaust to flow.
All that high flow won't help if the substrate is "squeezed" into a small diameter container or pipe. For this reason, CAPRISTO Sport Cats come in 5.2" packages to maximize exhaust flow and valved exhaust system operation.
The CAPRISTO valved exhaust system helps low end torque by providing exhaust back pressure and increases temperature for proper catalytic converter operation. In the high-rpm open valve condition, it takes full advantage of the free-flowing characteristics of the CAPRISTO Sport Cats by optimizing the high-energy exhaust at the ideal temperature and back pressure to maximize performance.
These catalytic converters can be easily fitted to a CAPRISTO exhaust system or any system that will fit directly over the OEM exhaust.
