The CES3 version of this system replaces the OE electric actuators with lock-up adapters and then uses vacuum-actuated actuators to provide autonomous valve control independent of the factory-monitored control, thus allowing the valves to be left wide open at idle and to open earlier in the RPM range.

This feature is achieved by using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and driver input. At lower engine speeds and during cruising the valves are closed, producing a deeper exhaust note. With wide open throttle the valves open, releasing the full symphony of the engine.
CAPRISTO exhaust systems are designed and manufactured using advanced 3D laser scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping and CNC bending/milling in our facility in Germany. Each system is machined from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sound resonance properties, low weight and durability which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
