The Porsche GT3 RS intake has been designed to provide a more efficient flow path to the engine than the OEM airbox. By utilizing our patented Venturi Housing concept, airflow is able to negotiate a much less tortuous path through the filters, thus reducing system resistance. Additionally, by increasing the overall volume in the intake, maximum flow capacity has also been increased. Using custom-built filters with an outside diameter of 192mm or 7.5" that boast a filtration surface area of over 110,000mm^2 each, we have made the most of the available space. Intake air temperatures have also been kept to a minimum by ensuring a sealed system and using carbon fibre which has a low coefficient of thermal conductivity through the wall thickness. The resulting system provides real performance gains and a noticeable improvement in throttle response.

Dynamic Testing

We conducted flow tests using a Superflow SF-1020 to measure the maximum flow possible at a pressure drop of 28” H2O. Testing was performed on the same day under controlled conditions using the same test jig for each system. We tested our complete intake system against the stock airbox system. The results show an increase in maximum flow of an additional 120 CFM over the OEM airbox. It is important to note that this has been achieved with a sealed intake system, so intake temperatures will also be kept to a minimum.

Tested on the dyno

Our intake system has been tested in independently from ES Motors, who build high-powered Porsches in the UK. The tests were carried out on the same day back to back using a chassis dyno. As you can see, there is a measurable gain across the rpm range, not just at the peak, which is more important as the increased area under the graph shows that the intake is having an impact beyond the headline figures. This gain even on a production car is noticeable on the road with improved throttle response and quicker acceleration. The first graph is a summary of the results, while the second is a screenshot of the dynamometer test to show the gain in the mid-range.

The Eventuri 991 GT3 RS intake system is made up of a series of components designed to perform a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards. We use 100% pre-preg carbon fibre with no fibreglass, which means we can achieve a smooth internal surface to maintain a smoother airflow. PATENTED FILTER HOUSING

The 991 GT3 RS filter housing is made up of 2 bespoke high flow filters, aluminium caps, laser cut brackets and the carbon pod itself. The carbon pod wraps around the reverse mounted filters and gently shapes the airflow up to the throttle body. This gentle reduction in cross-sectional area is reminiscent of the Venturi effect where the airflow accelerates whilst maintaining laminar conditions. CUSTOM CONE FILTER

To achieve the maximum possible flow rate, we have designed a filter element to make the most of the available space in the engine compartment. This new filter has an outside diameter of 192mm or 7.6" and when flow tested with a housing using a 4" opening is capable of flowing up to 900 CFM at 28" H2O. The filter media is ISO tested to ensure the filtration is in line with OEM standards and is also dry. The filter is constructed with our signature flow cones to aid in the Venturi housing principle.

CARBON PIPES

The ducts convey ambient air from the side vents to the filter housing. To ensure a good seal against the heat of the engine bay, they are fixed to the filter housing at 3 points and use a neoprene gasket for a hermetic seal. The ducts have been designed to have the maximum internal volume possible within the given geometry of the engine bay. This ensures that the filter housing can suck with minimal restriction

SILICONE JOINT

Our silicone joint replaces the stock throttle body hose. It fits the OEM throttle body with an internal step to ensure smooth flow.

The complete system comes together to provide an intake that improves on the stock airbox in terms of performance, aesthetics and sound.
