The system The C190/R190 AMG GTR Eventuri uses our patented carbon fiber housings with our custom Gen 2 filters, which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. Not just another conical filter with a heat shield , but a unique design that recalls the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbo.

The AMG GTR Eventuri intake is a fully sealed system developed through extensive real-world testing and airflow simulation analysis. It features our patented venturi housings that allow the smoothest possible airflow to the turbo intakes. The housings enclose our bespoke filters that help shape the airflow and maintain laminar conditions. They have also been maximised in internal volume to reduce restriction and in doing so we have also redesigned the OEM centre cover as it fouls the significantly larger system. Finally, intake air temperatures are kept stable with ducts that seal the filter housings. The AMG GTR intake system has been independently tested by world-leading Mercedes tuning company RENNtech and proven to deliver improved performance in both stock and tuned engines. Each system comes complete with a carbon center cover.

Dyno Test

Dyno testing was performed by RENNtech in the USA, who tested a stock GTR and also their own ECU tune, comparing the OEM airboxes to our intake system. As you can see below, the intake provides performance gains throughout the RPM range. Peak horsepower and torque figures are summarized below for each setup. Mid-range gains are higher in some places than the claimed peak figures, as you can see in the graphs. The resulting gains are noticeable on the road with improved throttle response and acceleration times.

Dyno Results Summary:

  • Stock (Runs 1 and 2): 01 - 548.77 hp / 494.34 tq; 02 - 551.67 HP / 497.54 tq
  • Standard with Eventuri (Executions 13 and 14): 13 - 558.34 HP / 521.77 tq; 14 - 559.34 HP / 508.46 tq
  • Tuning only (Executions 5 and 6): 05 - 589.37 HP / 576.67 tq; 06 - 567.63 HP / 568.65 tq
  • Tuned with Eventuri (Executions 9 and 10): 09 - 596.94 HP / 576.09 tq; 10 - 590.07 HP / 572.57 tq

The Eventuri AMG GT intake system is made up of a series of components designed to perform a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards. We use 100% pre-preg carbon fibre with no fibreglass, which means we can achieve a smooth internal surface to maintain a smoother airflow. Here are the details for each component and the design ethos behind them:

Each intake system consists of:

  • 2 x Patented Carbon Fiber Venturi Filter Housings
  • 2 x Custom Made High Flow Dry Cone Filters
  • 2 x Carbon Fiber Inlet Ducts
  • 1 x Carbon Fiber Center Cover
  • 2 x CNC Machined Stainless Steel Outlet Flanges
  • 2 x CNC Machined MAP Bosses
  • Heat Shields
  • Laser Cut Stainless Steel Brackets

Patented Venturi filter housing assembly

The AMG GT filter housings comprise custom-fit high-flow filters, aluminum caps, laser-cut brackets and the same aluminum pods. carbon. The carbon pod wraps around the reverse mounted filter and gently shapes the airflow up to the turbo. This gentle reduction in cross-sectional area is reminiscent of the Venturi effect where internal pressure is reduced while maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack - below is a diagram showing how our patented design compares to a conventional intake system. Further details can be read on the Technology page. The housings replace the OEM airboxes and flexible inlet pipes and provide a more direct flow path through a one-piece construction.

Carbon central cover

The internal volume of the filter housings has been maximised to reduce restrictions to the flow path to the turbos. In doing so, the OEM centre cover also had to be modified to prevent it from fouling the housings. We therefore designed a new cover that allows for the fitment of larger filter housings and also provides a finished look to the engine bay. The new cover is made from carbon and features a V-shaped carbon weave pattern to provide symmetry to the intake as a whole. We have also included a recess in the cover to allow the engine build plate to be fitted from the OEM cover.

Carbon fiber intake ducts

The ducts direct ambient air from the front grille to the filter housings. They connect to the OEM duct system and transition seamlessly into the circular shape of the filter housing. To ensure a good seal against engine bay heat, they also have a flexible rubber lip around the openings that press against the filter housings creating the desired seal but allowing the housings to move with the engine. The duct volume has been maximised to make full use of the available space. The bottom of the ducts shows the efforts we have made to ensure a perfect fit, while still allowing clearance with items in the engine bay area. The components come together to provide an enhancement to the AMG GT engine in terms of performance, sound and aesthetics.

Available in both gloss and matt carbon finish.
