Here is the perfect addition to our X5M, XM intake system to optimize the flow path to the turbos. Our carbon air intakes have a larger volume than the air intakes of series, maintaining a larger diameter up to the turbos. The stock air intakes narrow immediately after the connection to the intake, which creates a restriction, especially at higher boost levels.

We've alleviated this restriction and also designed the curvature to be as smooth as possible, allowing the turbos to operate with reduced drag. Made from pre-preg carbon fibre with CNC machined flanges, the intakes also provide a visual upgrade to the engine bay.

The benefits of intakes are obvious on tuned vehicles where boost pressure is higher and therefore the flow demand from the turbos is greater. This is where the larger inlet volume of the intakes helps to provide that extra flow.

The Eventuri X5M inlets are constructed from high temperature pre-preg carbon fibre and are supplied assembled with a host of other components that are designed to perform a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.

Each set of inlets consists of:

  • Pair of pre-preg carbon inlets
  • CNC machined turbo flanges
  • CNC machined blow-off valve assembly

COMPARIONS

Performance gains are produced by providing the turbos with a less resistive flow path allowing them to reach peak boost earlier in the RPM range. When compared to stock intakes the differences are obvious. Where stock pipes taper off immediately after connecting to the intakes, our pipes maintain a larger diameter and the taper off over stock turbos is achieved with an internal radius on the machined flanges. This allows for increased volume whilst maintaining a smooth flow path. One of the drawbacks of the large intakes was the more aggressive downsizing to fit the stock turbos, which created some flow constraints.

LCI AND PRE-LCI INLETS
There are different inlets for LCI and Pre-LCI vehicles. We have made 2 specific sets that have different curvatures and an additional sensor on the LCI version.
