BMW M2 / M235i / M135i F-Series

The M2 Eventuri system utilizes our patented housing that provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the MAF tube. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that recalls the Venturi effect.

Our updated F22 N55/M2 Eventuri intake system is a perfect example of our “Complete System” principle. It demonstrates the perfect balance between allowing unrestricted airflow to our venturi housing and saturating it with cold air with our scoop and new sealed duct combination. The new sealed duct and heat shield combination ensures that engine bay heat is kept away from the filter and therefore IATs are kept to a minimum. Every detail has been meticulously developed from the pre-preg carbon pieces to the precision workmanship of the bracket. This intake sets a new benchmark in design and craftsmanship for the F22 and F87 platforms. Also fits M135i and M235i with N55 engine.

The Eventuri F87 M2, N55 intake system consists of a series of components designed to perform a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards. Here are the details for each component and the design ethic behind them:

Each upgraded intake system consists of:

    • Prepreg carbon fiber venturi housing
    • Aluminum High Flow Generation 2 Custom Cone
    • Prepreg Carbon Fiber Intake Duct
    • Prepreg Carbon Fiber Intake Pipe with Integrated MAF Sensor Mount
    • Prepeg Carbon Fiber Air Intake
    • Laser Cut Intake Heat Shield
    • Laser Cut Stainless Steel Brackets
    • High Quality Silicone Joints with Zip Ties BMW specific hose clamp

Carbon intake housing assembly

The filter housing consists of a high-flow filter, an aluminum cap, a laser-cut bracket and the carbon pod itself. The carbon pod wraps around the reverse-mounted filter and gently shapes the airflow up to the intake pipe. This gentle reduction in cross-sectional area is reminiscent of the Venturi effect where the airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack: below is a diagram showing how our patent-pending design compares to a typical intake system. Further details can be read on the Technology page.

Carbon Intake Duct with Shield

The filter housing is positioned with its opening sealed against this new carbon duct. This carbon duct has been designed to fit over the stock cold air duct and direct ambient air from the scoop into the filter. It seals against engine bay heat while still allowing some air to enter from the cool side of the engine bay where the hood meets the wing. Additionally, there is a heat shield attached to the side that prevents hot radiator and alternator air from directly hitting the carbon housing. This shield reduces direct heat absorption on the carbon housing and therefore helps keep the IAT low.

Carbon Fiber Intake Pipe

Our intake pipe is made from 100% pre-preg carbon fiber. Each tube has an integrated MAF sensor mount and vent adapter that are CNC machined from aluminum. The intake tube is designed to provide a smooth path for airflow from the filter to the stock turbo tube. To clear the fan shroud we seamlessly transformed the cross section from a circle to an oval and kept the area consistent. This ensures that the airflow remains laminar and allows the turbo to operate with minimal resistance.

Carbon Fiber Intake Scoop

The scoop has been designed for maximum efficiency in directing incoming air to the stock duct openings. Many aftermarket scoops have a large flat area that is almost perpendicular to the incoming air, which is not ideal for channeling into the ducts as the airflow only "hits" this flat area and creates turbulence. Eventi Scoops are designed to sit directly behind the front grills to capture as much air as possible and with a continuous curve at the duct opening to ensure this airflow is channeled efficiently. Having an effective supply of cold air to the filters is an essential part of our design. Simply having heat shields in place is not an effective means of preventing hot air from entering the filters unless the shields create an airtight enclosure around the filters. The scoops and ducts in our system combine to supply the filter openings with ambient air and keep the intake air temperature low.
