The F40 M135i Eventuri system uses our patented carbon fiber housings with our custom Gen 2 filters, which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. Not just another conical filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that recalls the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbo.

The F40 M135i, F44 M235i Eventuri intake system has been developed through extensive real-world testing and airflow simulation analysis. It features our patented venturi housing system with an integrated mass airflow sensor section for the smoothest possible airflow to the turbo inlet pipe. The housing encloses our bespoke second generation dry filter which helps shape the airflow to maintain laminar conditions. The housing seals the front duct which has been maximised in volume to reduce any potential flow restriction. The duct ensures only ambient air is supplied to the filter, so IATs are stable for most driving conditions. The system allows for improved throttle response and allows the turbo to operate on a lower waste-gate duty cycle.

The Eventuri F40 M135i intake system is made up of a series of components designed to perform a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards. Here are the details for each component and the design ethos behind them:

FILTER HOUSING ASSEMBLY

The filter housing consists of our custom made 2nd generation filter, the bonnet aluminum inlet, stainless steel bracket and integrated MAF section. The carbon pod wraps around the reverse mounted filter and smoothly shapes the airflow into the MAF section which then connects to the stock inlet pipe. This changes the flow path from the OEM airbox where the airflow enters the front of the airbox, changes direction 90 degrees to pass through the panel filter and then changes direction 90 degrees again to pass through the MAF section. Our system is much more direct with the airflow entering the front of the filter housing and moving into the MAF section without any abrupt changes in direction. The result is a smoother path from the filter to the turbo inlet pipe and therefore the turbo is able to operate with less resistance.

PATENTED TECHNOLOGY

Our patented filter housing has a smooth reduction in cross-sectional area as it wraps around the filter and tapers towards the tube. This geometry is reminiscent of the Venturi effect, where the airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack - below is a diagram showing how our patented design compares to a typical intake system. Our custom filters help the airflow move through the housings and allow for a smooth velocity profile as the airflow exits the housings. CARBON CONDUIT

We have redesigned the duct to maximise internal volume. With the mounting points now hidden, the duct makes full use of the space given above the blanking panel. To protect against engine bay heat, the duct has a flexible rubber lip around the filter housing opening which ensures a good seal to the filter and allows movement with the engine.
