Audi S1

The Audi S1 ​​Eventuri intake was developed to provide the most efficient and direct airflow path to the turbo. By replacing the OEM airbox with our patent-pending Venturi housing, we have ensured that the airflow remains as laminar as possible. Additionally, adding a true cold air supply by adding a scoop to the front grill determines the temperature of the lowest possible incoming air. The result is an optimised intake system that consistently delivers significant performance gains.

The Eventuri Difference

The Audi S1 ​​system uses our patent-pending carbon fiber housing that provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo pipe. Not just another conical filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that allows the airflow to remain laminar and therefore improve the efficiency of the turbo.

The standard airbox has a cubic shape that creates turbulence and consequently increases the turbo's drag. The transition from the rectangular air filter to the round turbo inlet creates inefficiencies in the flow path that are addressed with our Venturi housing system.

The following dynamometer plots show the before and after results on a Golf 7 R (same engine as the Audi S1) that already had a remap. So both the stock airbox and the Eventuri were tested with the same remap in place. All tests were performed back to back on the same day with the HOOD CLOSED AT ALL TIMES.

Carbon intake housing

The filter housing is comprised of a high flow filter, an aluminum cap, a laser cut bracket and the carbon pod itself. The carbon pod wraps around the reverse mounted filter and gently shapes the airflow up to the intake pipe. This gentle reduction in cross-sectional area is reminiscent of the Venturi effect where the airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack - below is a diagram showing how our patent pending design compares to a standard intake system. More details can be read on the Technology page. Our custom filters help the airflow move through the housings and allow for a smooth velocity profile as the airflow exits the housings. Intake duct

The duct replaces The stock rubber duct directs ambient air into the filter housing. It effectively blocks heat from the engine bay and ensures that air intake temperatures remain as low as possible.

Suction conveyor

The final part of the intake is the aluminum shroud that sits behind the grille and directs ambient air into the duct. When the car is moving, this shroud effectively forces air into the duct and in doing so displaces any hot air entering from the engine bay. By forcing air into the duct, the filter housing has a ready supply of ambient air and does not need to draw air from the front, so the length of the intake path is reduced.
