AUDI RS3 HEADLAMP DUCT

Introducing another world first: a Carbon headlight duct specially designed for the Audi RS3 8V.

With the RS3 gaining popularity as a car serious track day, we've developed an add-on part for our air intake to give you that extra edge. This headlight duct replaces the OEM headlight and seals against our RS3 air intake for a true RAM-AIR setup with a 'direct cold air supply to the filter.

The duct follows the same lines as the stock headlight and features two carbon air guides to channel airflow to the filter. It also has vents on the surface that is perpendicular to the incoming flow to avoid drag. Track tested at speeds over 190 mph, we ensured that the airflow benefit outweighs any additional drag for a net gain in track times. Since this duct replaces the main intake duct inside the engine bay against the end panel, this area is now open as a source of cooling for the engine itself. When the car is moving, outside air flows into the grille and through the stock vents above the engine for an extra cooling effect. The headlight duct allows the most direct possible flow of cold air and significantly helps to reduce heat absorption, maintaining constant travel times.

The Eventuri RS3 headlight duct system is manufactured from pre-impregnated carbon fibre, designed for a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.

Each headlight duct system consists of:

Carbon headlight duct

The headlight duct channels the air directly into the filter. Incorporating 2 guide vanes, the incoming air is directed seamlessly into the secondary connection duct. The pre-preg carbon structure provides rigidity and the stainless steel bracket ensures it is locked in place even at speeds in excess of 190mph. To minimise drag we have added reliefs on the face that is perpendicular to the airflow as the car moves forward. By sealing the connecting duct to the intake, this system provides a RAM-AIR effect and works to de-limit the intake path, whilst ensuring intake air temperatures are as low as possible for the RS3 using a fully sealed design. An added benefit is additional cooling for the engine bay: as this headlight duct replaces the duct inside the engine bay, the standard intake area behind the grille is now left open. So when the car is moving, cold air enters the engine bay and acts to cool the intake manifold. This combination of low intake temperatures and engine cooling ensures consistent track times as heat absorption is kept to a minimum.

Connecting duct

The connecting duct seals the headlight duct to the face of the intake itself. The rubber gasket around the connecting duct allows the intake to move with the engine while keeping the gasket intact. This prevents hot air from the engine bay from being drawn into the intake. Once again, made from pre-preg carbon, the connecting duct is both functional and adds great aesthetics to the engine bay.
